I'm a videographer so please forgive me, but I'm not used to needing to print my work. I'm currently working on a music video project that requires printing video frames to do collage art, then scanning the finished pages to then basically stop motion animate them. It's a helluva process but the final result is a lot of fun.
I'm working on my home printer, an Epson ET-8500, but every time I print, the colors are way off.
I can't seem to get the color spaces to line up between my images, Photoshop, and my printer. If I export from Photoshop and print through windows photo viewer, the colors are dark and muddy. If I print directly from Photoshop, the saturation and contrast are gone.
I've tried with and without the printers color management turned on, and that hasn't changed anything noticeable.
I've occasionally printed photos from my Fuji XT50 or even my phone and haven't had this issue, but for some reason the exported video frames and my printer don't get along.
Googling has led me down a rabbit hole of ICC profiles has left me confused. Any help or pointing me to a tutorial would be amazing.
