If someone at a store, bank, or elsewhere asks to see your ID, bank card, or other important card, hand it to them, but don’t put your wallet away until they’ve handed it back to you.
It can be easy for you, and even the person who asked for the card in the first place, to forget to hand it back, especially if it's time consuming or require multiple tasks.
