PC won’t turn on, thought I’d fixed it but problem returned
So last week my PC started booting up randomly into BIOS it did this for two days and on the third day when I would turn it on it wouldn’t come on. Literally nothing happens although I could see power was coming into the motherboard since the LED light was on.
I’ve not used my PC properly for a couple months, I’d been away and so it hadn’t been in use although for the last couple of weeks since I came back I had turned it on occasionally but not as I normally would.
Someone on here suggested I change the battery which I did. I’d got this thing two years ago so nothing in it is old and I really didn’t want it to be my PSU or motherboard.
Well changing the CMOS battery actually worked! I lost my overclock settings but that was fine. Nothing seemed wrong with it, it wasn’t making any funny noises and temp was fine. I turned it off and on again later on, played a game, all good.
Come the next day - problem is back again. It won’t turn on or react at all. The LED light is still on.
I did dust it down before (it wasn’t that dusty) but I’ll do it again this time to make sure it’s nothing like that and check my cables, but does anyone have any idea what it could be?
