Peugeot Boxer rear left door panel crack β repair or replace?
discovered a structural crack on the left rear door panel of my Peugeot Boxer (EU driver-side <left> rear door).
The crack is in the upper third of the panel, not on a seam β it goes straight through the metal. There are actually two cracks: one visible from the outside and another on the inner side of the panel in roughly the same area.
Because of this the door has lost stiffness and rattles a lot while driving.
Has anyone dealt with this type of failure on a Boxer / Ducato / Jumper?
Is welding and reinforcing the panel a reliable fix, or is replacing the whole door the only proper solution?
Any real-world experience appreciated.
