What do Koreans think about King Yeongjo?
I just finished watching the K-drama Dong Yi and the way Prince Yi Geum (later King Yeongjo) was portrayed was of course, protagonist-biased. He's the son of Chun Dong Yi and King Suk Jong. However, I read that during his reign, he also treated his son, Crown Prince Sado, poorly.
During your history classes, was that discussed in detail? What does the modern general population think of him?
