Did Susan Coolidge name a place in her books after a Yale student rebellion?
So I've just found out about the Conic Sections Rebellion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conic_Sections_Rebellion at Yale, between 1825 and 1830. This rang a bell, because I've been wondering since I was eight why the farm in "What Katy Did at School" was named Conic Section.
Coolidge (Sarah Chauncey Woolsey) was related to several presidents of Yale, and grew up in New Haven, some years after the rebellion. Is this the bit I didn't get? Or is it something else? #entertainment
