Helicopter
After completing his engineering studies, Oszkár Asbóth worked in aircraft construction between 1909-1913 in Arad, Subotica, and then in Wiener-Neustadt. During World War I, he joined the Propeller Experimental Institute in Fischamend, where he achieved excellent results. After the First World War, as a result of several years of experimentation, he built his helicopter, which was first used in September 1928. On the 9th, he took off from one place in a vertical direction. His machine could also be steered horizontally. His successes across Europe gave new impetus to helicopter research, which had previously been considered an insoluble problem. The pioneering role and significance of his experiments was also recognized by the international literature.
