Why do some people react negatively to the word ‘feminist’ even though it means supporting equality?
I’ve always understood feminism as basically supporting equal rights and opportunities for women. But I’ve noticed that when the word “feminist” comes up, some people react really negatively to it or assume it means something extreme. I’m just curious why that happens and how the word ended up getting such different reactions from people. :)
