An official announced on Thursday that Pakistan will be hosting the upcoming West Asia Baseball Cup event. The decision to award the hosting rights was made during a meeting of the Baseball Federation of Asia, which took place in China's Taipei.
Secretary of the Pakistan Baseball Federation, Fakhar Ali Shah, informed the media that the tournament is scheduled to take place in October this year.
Details regarding the venue and match dates will be disclosed soon. Teams from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and Iraq are expected to travel to Pakistan to participate in the event. Shah also mentioned that Pakistan had previously hosted the event in 2023.
