My entire village was slaughtered while I was away
It had been quite a long time since I last visited my village, so I asked a close friend to drop me off while passing by the village road.
When I arrived at the village, I noticed something strange. Normally, there would always be people around and children running about, but right now, there wasn't a soul in sight.
A long time had passed since my last visit, so I thought perhaps some things had changed. As I set out for my house in the village, a shiver ran through me.
There was a strange smell in the air, and the place looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for years. Thinking that the others might have left the village too, I went into my house.
After settling in at home, I decided to go out for a bit and see some old friends. As I headed toward a nearby house, I noticed that the strange smell in the air was becoming increasingly intense. By the time I reached the doorstep, the odor had become unbearable, it was as if the source were right under my nose.
I knocked on the door a few times, but no one answered. I thought there might be no one home, but when I looked at the window, I noticed it was broken. Peering through the broken glass, I saw a corpse inside with its entrails torn out, it looked as if it had been mauled by a bear, there was blood everywhere.
For a few seconds, I couldn't move out of fear, I just stared at the corpse on the ground and the intestines scattered all around. As soon as I regained my composure, I fled the scene and tried to find help. No matter how much I shouted, there was no one around.
Normally, a murder like this wouldn't happen in my village, in fact there wouldn't even be murders in my village. Things have changed a lot since I left.
My throat had started to hurt from shouting, yet there was still no one around, neither a human nor an animal.
When no one appeared, I started running home out of fear. Upon arriving home, I immediately grabbed my phone and tried to call the police, but there was no signal.
I spent the night in fear, and at the first light of morning, I stepped out of the house and decided to go to the same place.
I was shocked by what I saw when I arrived. The body was gone from the spot. Strangely, there were no drag marks on the ground either. When I looked around, the only thing I saw was a deer hiding behind the bushes. I felt somewhat relieved upon seeing the deer, at least I wasn't alone here.
I decided to check the other houses as well, there weren't many houses in my village, so inspecting them all wouldn't take long. My blood ran cold at what I saw.
One family's home was simply drenched in blood, someone else had been decapitated, but the head was nowhere to be found. Another victim was hanged in the house, with nothing but bone remaining from the waist down. These are just the ones I can remember.
I wanted to leave the village, but the nearest place was too far to walk to. Since I didn't have a car and someone who committed such brutal murders was still at large, I decided the best course of action was to wait at home.
I spent the night keeping watch instead of sleeping. I was waiting with an old shotgun inherited from my grandfather. While scanning the area, I spotted a deer behind the bushes again. I found it strange, as I had lived in this village for years but had never seen a deer around here before. Still, I didn't pay it much mind and continued keeping watch.
When morning came, I went outside to scout the area, but this time I had my shotgun with me. While looking around, I heard someone shouting from the woods. Although I couldn't quite make out what was being said, it was obvious the person needed help. I thought they might be fleeing from the killer.
It was a chance to catch this killer. I immediately ran into the woods, toward the sound. But as I moved forward, the sound began to fade, and after a while, it stopped completely.
I immediately grabbed my rifle and scanned the area. There, behind the bushes, I saw that deer again. It never broke eye contact. Encountering this deer repeatedly made a shiver run down my spine. I looked around the forest a bit more, but finding no one, I decided to head home.
I was heading home, and it was starting to get dark. As I made my way carefully, I saw something dart quickly through the trees. I couldn't quite make out what it was, but it was clearly a person. I immediately started running after them, shouting. This had to be the killer.
No matter how fast I ran, this man was faster and more athletic than me. He was leaping from rock to rock, never staying still. I aimed my weapon and fired to try my luck, and by chance, I managed to hit him in the shoulder. Normally, when a bullet strikes someone's shoulder, they clutch it in pain or start to slow down, but this man just kept going as if he’d merely been bitten by a fly.
I was shocked by what I had seen. I ran straight home. Although I wanted to sleep, it was impossible to do so after what I had witnessed that day.
While checking the windows, I saw that same deer again, but this time it wasn't hiding behind the bushes, it was out in the open, looking straight into my eyes.
This deer had started to really scare me. But as I looked at it, I noticed blood streaming down its front leg. Yet, the deer didn't seem to care at all. It just stood there, motionless, continuing to watch me.
Even though I didn't want to go outside, I couldn't help but assist when I saw the deer like that. I grabbed the first aid kit hanging on the wall and went over to the deer.
When I looked at its front leg, I saw only a single bullet wound. I was overcome with panic, because I hadn't heard a single gunshot all day other than my own. The deer was still standing there, motionless. Terrified, I left everything right there and went inside the house.
As soon as I entered the house, terrifying shouts began to rise from outside. It sounded as if someone were being tortured and screaming in agony. When I looked out the window, the deer was gone.
Morning had come, and I still didn't know what to do about what had happened. This innocent looking deer wasn't as innocent as it appeared. I searched for the deer all day but couldn't spot it anywhere. When evening fell, it was standing motionless across from the house again. The traces of blood were still there too.
This time, I aimed the shotgun at the deer and fired. While I expected it to collapse, I saw it still standing right in front of me. The bullet had struck it in the head, and blood was streaming down, yet instead of falling to the ground, it was still watching me.
The deer began to tremble and collapsed to the ground. I don't know why it had waited so long, but at first, I thought it was dead. Then, right before my eyes, it started to transform. Its body was tearing apart. It began to scream, a scream just like the one I had heard in the forest. The small deer's body suddenly took on a muscular, tall, humanoid form. The bullet wound on its shoulder was clearly visible. The thing I had shot in the forest was this very deer.
I pointed the shotgun and fired at that thing, but the bullet didn't even pierce its body. It ran toward the front door and is currently trying to break it down.
I'm hiding in my bedroom closet and don't know what to do. If this message reaches anyone, please send help to the village of Oakhaven. #entertainment source
