Genuinely excited for Forever
Let’s be honest, blizzard is a business, and you’ll have things you don’t like. Ie cosmetics, mounts, having to pay for new races or classes that come etc. it’s inevitable but if you just come to terms with that, there is much to be generally excited for.
If we truly never get boosts or wow tokens, I would say that will be a huge win and I won’t mind paying for new races, classes etc.
Overall my problem with base classic was I wasn’t a raider, a lot of classes had quirks I didn’t want to bother with like seal twisting or melee sealing on Hunter etc. so I’d generally play for fun and hit my 50s just doing some grinding or whatever but then the content never changed and got stale and populations dipped overtime since there was no reason to keep grinding same raid content for those players etc.
Now taking that, refining classes a bit, adding controller support for us casual carls, and adding a ton more horizontal progression along with the no ‘realm’ system I think it truly could be a game we just play forever.
It is essentially just one big layer cluster, hopefully they do it well, and it doesn’t become hard to get friends and guilds playing together easy. I think nodes will be layer based not retail tagging so it should feel like classic.
