Flight attendant got completely nerd-sniped by a chess puzzle on my flight today — respect to the man
Shoutout to the flight attendant on VO0221 (Kalamata → Innsbruck) who gave my chess puzzle his all Was working through a puzzle on the flight back from Greece today when the steward leaned in, asked what it was, and got completely hooked. Man stood in the aisle calculating lines for a solid few minutes, brow furrowed, fully locked in. Never did crack it — and got called back to actual work by his colleague. Twice. The position is from Spielmann – Hönlinger, 1937, and I found it in Tactical Targets in Chess by István Pongó — great book if you don't know it. No idea if you're on here, but respect for the dedication. Hope you find the line eventually. Here's the puzzle if anyone else wants a go: https://rookhub.oberschmid.homes/puzzles/book/56834?single=1&track=1 #games source
