We’re not even halfway through the year, and a lot of popular subscription services have already quietly hiked their prices.
So, I put together this chart to compare some of the recent price increases here in the U.S. Some of these hikes might seem small on their own, but when you add them all up... yeah, is your wallet feeling okay?
Here are a few examples:
* **YouTube Premium (Family Plan):** \+$4 * **Netflix:** Most plans are up by $2 * **Prime Video (Ad-free):** Price nearly doubled * **Spotify:** Another price hike since 2024
Of course, this is just the situation in the US. Prices vary a lot by region because many services use regional pricing.
For example, we used X-VPN to check the price of Spotify Premium in Nigeria. It’s about ₦1,600/month (around $1.19). Compared to the $12.99/month we pay in the U.S., that is only about **9% of the U.S. price**.
Did I miss any other price hikes? Which one has annoyed you the most this year? #entertainment
