Replace display or buy new

I have a Moto G 5G phone that's about 5 years old now. It's in perfect condition except the display has a couple of dark spots (about a half inch across). The original parts are no longer available so I'll have to get it aftermarket.
Should I replace/repair the display or get a new phone? the repair will cost about $25. the new phone will be about $300. I am perfectly fine with the functionality of the current phone. but it doesn't get security or any other updates.
