Probably a common question here, but it goes a long way.
I still have a lot of more games on my list I have yet to play, but I’d say my favourite so far would probably be Ark Nova, as I tend to have a preference towards deeper, more grand strategy feeling games. The way all the actions flow together, choosing between the 1-5 action cards with all different abilities depending on what number they’re currently on, it makes you constantly think about timing rather than just choosing the obvious best action every turn.
Ark Nova is a fair all-time pick if you like the grand ones. Those 1-5 cards are the whole game, the moment you burn a 5 on something small just to reset the row. Mine is Brass: Birmingham. Same long weight, but the pleasure is meaner: you lay a link, thin out the coal, and hope nobody clocked the market. #games
