The temperatures around here are getting ridiculous. I can feel the heat. but when I look for the temperature online it is at 32 or 33 degrees Celsius which is about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. So toady i looked for the real feel, and boy are things different, it gives a maximum for today of 43 degrees Celsius or nearly 110 degrees Fahrenheit, which it seems to be more like it.
But here, where I live is actually not even close to the heat in other places, mostly because we do get sea breeze. Olanchito, which is a small city about 60 Kilometers from here, there is a mountain range in between, the hottest today was 46 degrees Celsius, about 115 Fahrenheit.
I believe that sites like Accuweather give you temperature in the shade and the real feel is the street temperature. I always put in about ten thousand steps a day, but have cut it down to five thousand. A good friend's niece is a nurse in Olanchito and she says there have been five heart attack victims, three of the quite young, who had theese attacks and died, due to the heat. so I am trying to get as little sun as possible.
I could of course walk at night, it is still hot but at least no sun. But I don't feel that safe walking at night.
