LACSON DEFENDS BEL ZAMORA
Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Thursday came to the defense of House prosecutor Rep. Ysabel “Bel” Zamora following senator-judge Raffy Tulfo’s remark that the prosecution had become a target of ridicule for “just acting cute” during the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Lacson said he was taking the cudgels for Zamora not as a senator-judge but as her wedding sponsor and the daughter of his “brilliant lawyer and dear friend,” former San Juan Rep. Ronnie Zamora.
He described Bel as “capable, smart and beautiful inside out” who can stand up for what she believes is right.
