Passed up because of body size...that's a first
Like the title says. My offer to photograph a friend's wedding at the friend's and family rate was declined...no big deal, maybe I'm not their style, maybe they found an even better rate or perhaps they want me there as a guest, not a helper, all legitimate reasons! But nope. Found out through the very drunk groom-to-be that I was not selected because the bride can't stand the thought of "anyone smaller or prettier" than her taking a role at her wedding. He told me the photographer they hired "is huge" and spent some moments making comments on the body of one of my colleagues that I work with and love.
Reason #38621 why I'm not a "professional" photographer any longer.
What ridiculous reasons have you been turned down for? Body size is a first for me.
