Klask 4 Recall: Board game recalled in Canada due to possible ‘life-threatening’ risk
A product recall has been issued for the Klask 4 board game due to an ingestion hazard related to the magnets that come with the game.
Health Canada has found the magnets don’t meet the magnetic force requirements.
“Small, powerful magnets can be easily swallowed by children of all ages, posing serious and potentially life-threatening risks,” Health Canada cautioned in the recall notice published on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
“When more than one powerful magnet is swallowed in a short period of time, the magnets can attract one another while moving through the intestines. This can cause the intestines to twist, creating blockages or tearing of the intestinal walls.”
