Tips For How To Have A Semi-Frugal Wedding?
Give me all the frugal wedding tips! Just got engaged, and I am basically funding the wedding ceremony on my income. Some notes:
• We will most likely get legally married in a courthouse setting soon, and plan the ceremony about a year afterwards. Time of year is probably semi flexible.
• I think I want to spend in the ballpark of 20k or less, including pretty much everything minus the engagement ring and honeymoon.
• We will probably not have alcohol at our reception, which hopefully drives down the cost quite a bit.
• I know catering is the other big expense that can fluctuate greatly. Super curious to know how others have saved money on food in significant ways.
• We will probably have a guest list of around 120, which I know isn’t the most frugal but we’ll try to save in other ways.
• Outdoor weddings are pretty much not an option as we are in the Deep South, but maaaybe if it’s at the perfect time of year.
Looking forward to hear people’s individual experiences in saving money in their own wedding planning, things to watch out for, etc.
