Jeff is an experienced drummer, producer, engineer, and programmer.
Now that the kids are grown, the corporate job is finished and there’s room to breathe, Jeff has been able to refocus back on his primary passion - music and sound.
Jeff has created a website that provides a wealth of information for anyone interested in sound engineering, music and sound creation, the art of creating samples, and field recording.
Two of his primary goals are to show aspiring music and sound producers how to build and use home/project studios, and getting folks who, like himself, had a passion for music and sound in their younger days but had to refocus on family responsibilities to focus back again on that passion now that the kids have graduated and they have retired from their corporate jobs.
Currently, the website contains a detailed tutorial on designing and building a home recording studio, tips and tricks on studio equipment and techniques, videos on field recording, and turning those recordings into music and sound clips and samples, and his catalog of licensable production music for multimedia projects, and a forum where subscribers can ask and answer questions, discuss new ways of producing sound and music, plus links to services provided by Jeff, including sound or music production and engineering services, consulting on building home and project studios, voiceover or narration work, composing music for your next multimedia project, and drum lessons!
In his younger days, Jeff was an accomplished drummer and sound engineer. In addition to playing drums in bands across the country, he provided engineering, drums, percussion, and drum programming to award-winning projects by Keith Sweat, Michael Bolton, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Melba Moore, Shannon, Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark, Michael Zentner, Latoya Jackson, Melba Moore, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Cliff, Billy Ocean, Starpoint, Malcolm McLaren, Latoya Jackson, Doug E. Fresh, Force MDs, Sly Fox, Boogie Boys, and many others.
In 1987, Jeff put all of that on hold to devote his time to raising a family. He continued to play drums in local bands and write music but realized that continuing to work professionally in the music business would take too much time away from his family.
Now that kids are grown and he has the time once again to follow his musical passion, he wants to help others who followed the same path and show them that they too can rekindle their passion for music after retirement.
Contact Jeff for any sound or music production questions or needs, sound engineering services, voiceover or narration work, music for your next multimedia project, or drum lessons.
