Today's Topic: Self-Commitment.
Self-commitment is a promise to follow through on your accountability, or a promise to perform your intended actions.
Remembering the words of José Joaquin Del Olmedo (Former President of Ecuador, writer, poet, author of the Verses of the Victory of Junín - Song to the Liberator Simón Bolívar): "For those who do not expect to win, they are already defeated..."
When we talk about self-commitment, this phrase perfectly frames the fact that, if we are not committed to ourselves, to something or to someone, to do something for ourselves, for something or someone else, it is simply better to make sure that we truly want to comply with such commitment.
This means and implies that when committing ourselves, we must have the necessary self-confidence to be able to fulfill the purpose, so it is equally necessary, in principle, to overcome our fear of failure, the worst enemy of any commitment. Such a fear of failure paralyzes us, does not allow us to move forward, much less evolve, and what stagnates or does not change, does not grow or evolve, simply cease to exist, dies.
Here I give you another phrase, of my authorship, If you are afraid of failing, you are afraid of living, this is a fact of life. To commit yourself you must lose the fear of not achieving the purpose for such a commitment, in other words, to commit yourself, your self-confidence most be present all in, all the time and for as long as necessary, if you expect to fulfill, achieve and have success. Then... No fear, No limit. If you want to learn to really commit, you have to learn from failure, not fearing it, that way, you will also be learning how to grow, how to live!
