Dirt bike or street 125cc for learning stunts?
I’ve always been more of a speed guy, but I’ve always wanted to get into more stunt riding; wheelies, stoppies, etc. for fun and to expand my skill set. I currently have a Panigale V4, and I recently bought a brand new KTM 690 SMC-R with the intention of learning wheelies on it (plus I’ve always liked the bike) but being over $13k there’s still quite a mental block in my head to bring it to the balance point. Besides the fear of losing money I do tend to get emotionally attached to any cars/bikes that I own that aren’t total beaters. So I want to get something I can not be worried about destroying.
So yeah, Grom/Z125/similar or a dirt bike? It seems to me that dirt bikes could be advantageous since you could practice on soft surfaces, correct me if I’m wrong. If anyone has an opinion on one vs the other and pros/cons, let me know. Thanks.
