What should I do in this unfair treatment

Hello guys,
I got a job offer from a german startup in July and I joined this company in Sep 2024, they told me they would sponsor my work visa which was a Blue Card but due to my own documentation issue I couldn’t start with the process. Fast forward to November they invited me to a Christmas Dinner on 19th Dec at Berlin fully covered.

I had signed a contract with them which stated that I could invoice them and pay for my services since I would start a full time contract once I join the berlin office. I got my appointment for the visa for Christmas dinner but just a week before my appointment they terminated my contract gave me a very vague reason of “Cultural differences” and “timezone differences”. They did that on 24th November and told me that they will compensate for my entire month of November.

When I re read my contract what I understood was they couldn’t terminate the contract not until they give me a 30 day notice period and if they do terminate without notice they would have to pay me for 30 day notice as per the law, (the note is my contract falls into England and Wales law) since the company is registered in UK as well and my contract was falling under the UK entity.

Now what should I do should ask them to pay for 30 day notice as well (which initially I did and they told me that they have to pay me for only my work which was till November)

But at that time I wasn’t aware of this clause in UK’s Law . I am afraid they might ruin my referral when any next company will want to hire me and do a background check is this something I should go with asking from them based on law and facts? Or let it go?
