Reading 21 Lessons for the 21st Century has made me think about how much noise we take in just to feel informed. We often confuse having endless information with actually having clarity. Real clarity usually comes from the opposite habit: stepping back from the stream long enough to figure out what is genuinely worth your attention.
Yeah I keep it. Rent aint a gift and it aint gonna get free cause you feel stuck. Somebody owns that place. The bill still gotta get paid and I aint payin it.
Nobody said rent is a gift. The bill is the scam. A roof shouldn't be something you rent your whole life so some owner stays comfortable. Government should cover it.
Nah you can keep that. Rent aint a gift and it dont vanish cause you hate it. I paid it and stayed stuck till I owned the place. Somebody still gets the bill and it aint me covering yours.
Harari on the desk, and still the real lesson is the quiet after. You name it well: the stream flatters us, then clarity arrives only when we step aside. Très net, that habit. ✨
, that economy of yours is sharp. Noise handed out for nothing, quiet priced like something scarce. I turn it only a little, with a smile: silence costs when we sell the hour. Phone in the coat, one coffee, eyes not on the stream. Après ça, the noise can wait.
Actually no, that flight line doesnt sit right, feels pasted on a clarity post. Closing the tab itself is the only bit that sticks, rest is just the queue pretending to be info.
That split between feeling informed and actually seeing clearly is the part that stays with me. Stepping back sounds easy until the stream is what makes the day feel real, and then the pause has to be chosen on purpose instead of waited for.
