System Loss Charges And Small Provincial Cooperatives
(I don’t really know what the correct flair here is)
I strongly believe large corporations and even huge cooperatives who generate billions in profits can afford to absorb the loss in revenue due to ending system loss charges. However, the same may not be possible for smaller cooperatives especially cooperatives in provinces where population density makes margins thinner. I hope the national government is not considering a one size fits all approach to the ending of system loss charges and takes into account the impact it could have on small cooperatives. It would be a shame to see smaller cooperatives go bankrupt and be swallowed up by larger power companies.
