Urgent: all drains unusable, management waiting for insurance
I rent an apartment in Tokyo and all drains stopped working at the same time, so we cannot use the kitchen, shower, bathroom, or washing machine.
The management company says it must wait for the insurer before arranging repairs, and warns that hiring a plumber ourselves may not be reimbursed. They have given us no definite inspection time.
Has anyone dealt with this? What is the fastest way to get an urgent inspection or temporary repair, and which Tokyo tenant or government service can actually help?
