31 days left until the Australian GP. At the 1972 Austrian GP, Emerson Fittipaldi was unhappy with his #20 Lotus 72D and chose to drive the #31 spare car instead. He qualified on pole and took the 4th win of his WDC-winning season. He became the then youngest-ever champion at only 25 years of age.
