Imagine the moment it changes color… and everything goes quiet. 🌈
Three teenagers from London came up with a bold idea called S.T.EYE, a concept condom designed to detect sexually transmitted infections in real time. Using antibodies built into the material, it would react to infections and change color, each shade signaling a different condition.
The idea was so innovative it won a major health award and even caught attention from companies. But despite the hype, it has never been produced and still exists only as a concept.
What made it stand out wasn’t just the tech… it was the purpose. A private way to detect something people are often too afraid to talk about.
And that raises an interesting question.
Would this make people feel safer… or just make moments way more uncomfortable?
