Recently finished The Master and Margarita and Ellendea Proffer’s detailed annotations at the end significantly enhanced my appreciation for the novel. Why aren’t annotations like that more common?
As a casual reader encountering the book for the first time, the annotations unlocked a lot of meaning and made for a more rewarding experience.
