LPT: Organise computer files by always using the date format ‘YYYYMMDD’ as the start of any filename. This will ensure they ALWAYS stay in chronological order in a folder.
This is very useful when you have a job/hobby which involves lot of file revisions, or lots of documentation over a long time period.Edit: Yes - you can also sort by 'Date' field within a folder. Or by Date Modified. Or Date Created. Or by Date Last Saved? Or by Date Accessed?! What's the difference between these? What operations by my colleagues or by Windows might change these fields? I don’t need to care - because I don't rely on these.
