Alan Moore explains why he stopped making comics

Just speaking personally; I'm 30 years old and will still dabble in graphic novels and comic books here and there. I would say DWJ's work and Absolute Batman got me back into the medium. My personal philosophy is "you can find a good story in ANYTHING, you just gotta listen" and reading Frank Miller's "Push the Wall" sparked the light in me to write my graphic novel. I use to think Alan Moore was just bitter old man for not working out a better deal; then ya get older and realize "ahh, he really did get screwed over".

But that's just my 2 cents, what are your thoughts??

The hunt for marvel

So I just realized with Disney owning marvel we prob won’t get much quality of the good old days and as someone who grew up on marvel video games and tv more than movies (aside from the raimi Spiderman) I really love seeing these characters unite in ways that have long been forgotten or unobtainable. I’ve realized from 61-09 there have been eons of stories: crossovers, the team in each crossover, and the characters in each team. I know I’m prob asking for the sky but does anyone have a definitive list for the best runs or storylines for each crossover, team and individual characters? I can elaborate further if need be

Gimmick, Variant or Different Comic?

I'm working on a new idea and had a question about a potential opening/cold open.

Essentially, I was wondering if having the opening of the comic, which is a terrorist attack across the US, open in one of several cities. So, I would have the opening scene/cold open be set say in Los Angeles and another in New York and another in Albuquerque etc. So, the first 3 or 5 pages of the comic would be region/city specific including local landmarks, but the rest of the pages would be the actual story set canonically outside of Albuquerque.

00111 would open on Albuquerque and then Canon Story,

00121 would open on LA and then Canon Story,

00131 would one on NYC and the Canon Story, etc.

I was more leaning on the idea of it being a variant or is the variant number only specific to covers, and if it has been done before please let me know so I can do some research. Thank you.
