I added a 75k+ free public domain books on my website and you can download them for Kindle or any e-reader
Hey all,
I just added a **free ebooks page** to Convert2EPUB: ** convert2epub.com/free-ebooks ** http://convert2epub.com/free-ebooks
It’s a faster, cleaner way to browse public domain books.
* **Search by title or author** as you type
* **Filter by language and subject**
* **Download as EPUB** for Kobo, Apple Books and most other readers, **or as a Kindle file**
* **Completely free, with no account or sign-up**
* Short guide on the page for getting books onto your Kindle or e-reader
To be clear, **all the books come from websites that have public domain books**. I don’t host or sell anything. I just wanted a quicker way to find something and get it onto my Kindle.
I’d love to hear what you think, or anything that would make it more useful.
If you have any websites that have these kinds of public domain books, I would like to add them too.

I made a free site for reading 41,000 public domain classics in your browser
Full disclosure: this is my own project. All the books come from Project Gutenberg, I just built a nicer way to read them online.
https://escapepod.vip/books
What you get:
\- 41,000 classics, readable on your phone or computer with no app or download
\- Every book page shows how the book begins, so you can try the first paragraphs before you commit (Moby Dick: https://escapepod.vip/books/book/2701 )
\- A clean reader with paper, sepia and night themes
\- It remembers your chapter, and with a free account it follows you across devices
\- Browse by genre or author, or search by title
It's free and supported by ads. Without an account you can open 3 different books a day, and reopening one you've started doesn't count. A free account removes the limit.
If you just want the files, Gutenberg itself is still the best place for that. This is for people who'd rather read in a browser.
Feedback very welcome, especially on books that display badly. I fix those as I find them.
