🌊 Filipino Word of the Day: Dagat (Sea / Ocean)

There’s nothing quite like the peace you find by the dagat. From the soft sand (buhangin) to the mossy rocks (bato), every little piece of nature here tells a story. 🐚✨

Which of these views is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Vocabulary Breakdown:
Dagat [dah-gat] = Sea / Ocean
Buhangin [boo-hang-in] = Sand
Bato [bah-toh] = Stone / Rock

Paalam (Goodbye)
Paalam (Goodbye)
Paalam (Goodbye)

Binitiwang salita’y tinangay na ng hangin,
(The spoken words were swept away by the wind,)

Paalam na sa sumpang hindi na natin kayang tuparin.
(Farewell to the promise we can no longer keep.)

Katatagan (Resilience)

Sa bawat bakas ng bagyong nagdaan,
(In every trace of the storm that has passed)
May bagong sibol at pag-asang masisilayan.
(A new growth and hope will emerge at last.)

Look up. Breathe. Move forward.( ; )
In the middle of our daily rush, we often forget to look up. Much like these trees.... they remain firm and standing no matter how many storms pass them by.
Every leaf that falls bears a trace of what it has endured, but what matters most is the new growth that is bound to come. Give way to the stories that seem to have been cut short, so they may be reconnected and continued.
A reminder this Sunday: If you feel a bit lost, pause for a moment and look back at everything you’ve overcome. You already carry the traces of success within you—perhaps you just haven't noticed them yet.
