Before you can really use a new tool, you usually have to learn how it works. AI is starting to change that.
On September 16, Anthropic announced that several Claude tools are being brought into one interface, so the system can work out what a task needs from what the user is asking it to do.
Microsoft is developing AI agents that can work through websites and desktop apps from a simple instruction, while Google is experimenting with interfaces that adapt to the request itself.
The interface won’t disappear, but you won’t always have to figure it out on your own. AI can guide you through it as you go.
That only works properly if the AI understands what you’re trying to do. Google researchers testing AI assistance in complex software found that models still struggle with user intent and knowing when help is actually useful.
ARES AI is being developed around that same role inside SourceLess: helping users search, navigate and work across connected services with more context around what they’re trying to accomplish.
