This is my favourite food during Lunar New Year. It’s a must-have! In many Asian cultures, especially Chinese communities in Malaysia, dried meat like *bak kwa* (barbecued pork jerky) is a festive favourite. It’s sweet, smoky, and slightly chewy—absolutely delicious. People believe it symbolizes abundance and prosperity, making it a staple for good fortune in the new year.
I tried it in a sandwich, layering the meat between soft buns, and it was incredible! 😋😋
