Segundo chance [16](A Halloween 🎃 Story)
Last year, a few weeks before Halloween, Lucy Pendelton returned to town, divorced and with her young son Sam, now 7 years old. She bought a nice house near the cemetery. When Tyrone found out that his great love had returned to town and was also single, he was very happy. Perhaps life was giving him a second chance. But then, after Joan, Jimmy's wife, rekindled her good friendship with the redhead from their high school days, Tyrone learned that Lucy had graduated as an engineer, done a postgraduate degree in Europe where she worked for a few years and met her husband and father of her son. She had returned to Magnolias as regional manager of the electric company, which was based in the town.
All of Tyrone's fears returned. What chance did he have of winning Lucy Pendelton back? He was just a poor, damn rat exterminator!

Now Tyrone had a decent business that he owned, a place of his own to live, a small apartment above the company. His bad luck had partially passed, because Tyrone still couldn't find a partner, despite Joan's efforts to introduce him to every single or divorced friend she came across. But Tyrone paid no attention to any of them; his heart belonged to only one person.

Tyrone was down and out, but just a few months later, his best friend Jimmy, now married to Joan, returned to live in town and reached out to him. Joan's parents were leaving town, and Jimmy bought their small company and made his best friend not an employee but a 50-50 partner, even though Tyrone didn't put up a penny.
