Nigerian Government's Genocidal Plot Against Biafrans Exposed – IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) alerts the International Community to a new genocidal plan by the Nigerian government against Biafrans. Recent inciting statements from Sheik Gumi, a known terrorist spokesperson, and the DSS Director in Imo State expose this plot.
Sheik Gumi recently urged the Nigerian government to recruit and arm Igbo youths to fight IPOB and the Eastern Security Network (ESN). This aligns with IPOB’s long-standing claim that insecurity in the South-East is state-sponsored. The Nigerian government and its allies have failed in their attempt to destabilize IPOB, and this new strategy will also fail. ESN operatives stand ready to defend Biafra against any aggression.
Similarly, the DSS Director in Imo State was caught on video ordering extrajudicial killings of IPOB members. This blatant abuse of power highlights the government's determination to eliminate Biafran youths under the guise of security operations.
IPOB warns that no amount of intimidation, killings, or forced disappearances will stop the Biafran movement. The Nigerian government seeks to create internal conflicts in Biafra Land, just as they have done in the North. However, this divisive strategy will not succeed.
We call on the UN, AU, foreign embassies, and human rights organizations to take urgent action against these genocidal threats. The world must not ignore the unfolding atrocities against Biafrans.

Militants Allegedly Recruited by Security Agencies to Target Igbo Youths in Biafra Hinterland
Reports have emerged alleging that militants loyal to Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, a former Niger Delta militant leader, have moved from Nigeria’s coastal areas into the hinterlands of the Southeast, now operating under the guise of security agencies. These militants are reportedly being recruited by Nigeria’s security forces, including the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Police, the Army, Ebubeagu, and local vigilante groups.
According to sources, this recruitment is part of a broader strategy to suppress pro-Biafra activities and eliminate suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Human rights activists and local communities have raised concerns over increasing cases of extrajudicial killings, disappearances, and intimidation of Igbo youths. Many fear that these alleged recruits are being used to carry out targeted attacks under official cover, leading to a climate of fear in the region.
Asari Dokubo, a controversial figure, has long been at odds with IPOB, frequently criticizing the separatist movement. His alignment with the Nigerian government has raised suspicions that his former fighters are being deployed to quell resistance in the Southeast. This development follows previous reports of security crackdowns, including military raids, enforced disappearances, and clashes between government forces and IPOB-affiliated groups.
The situation has sparked outrage on social media, with calls for an independent investigation into these alleged human rights violations. Activists demand accountability from security agencies, warning that such actions could escalate tensions in an already volatile region. Meanwhile, IPOB leaders insist that their movement remains committed to non-violent self-determination, condemning the alleged use of ex-militants to suppress their cause.
As concerns grow over these allegations, the Nigerian government has yet to issue an official response. However, analysts warn that the continued militarization of the region could fuel further unrest, making dialogue and peaceful resolution more challenging.
