Virani is trying to put a positive spin on it by suggesting it is some kind of democratic breakthrough that finds a balance that allows “awful but lawful” content to be kept online.

In short, with 'hate crime' so nebulously defined along with 'hate speech' C-63 amounts to;
Justin pissing his pants and throwing a snot-nose tantrum because someone online said something mean about him, or was critical of the fact that he's very literally starving and freezing Canadians to death in their homes...
...and that person then gets a SWAT team kicking in their door at 4 am.
Because...
