Standing in front of Wonderland, a giant 12-metre wire sculpture of a young girl’s head, created by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa wherein you can actually walk inside the sculpture and experience the artwork from a completely different perspective! 😍
The sculpture represents the head of a young girl and is associated with ideas of dreams, youth and imagination.
The intricate structure required 11,568 welds to complete. Because of its open wire design, the sculpture looks completely different depending on where you stand and this skyline becomes part of the artwork.
Located at The Bow in downtown Calgary, making it an easy stop while exploring the city centre.
Calgary tip: Don’t just take one photo! Walk around it, step inside, look up, and try different angles. The shadows, lines and buildings create a different picture every time.
