Somos un grupo de estudiantes de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, que busca encontrar problemáticas en el transporte de alimentos durante la actividad del senderismo/trekking. El objetivo es encontrar una solución ante las distintas adversidades que se presentan, a través de un producto diseñado especÃfico. Backpack investment - 32L osprey hikelite or size up?
Hey all, I was hoping to get some advice on buying a new backpack. I have a 65L that I use for multiday hikes/thru hiking but really in need of something smaller for day hikes with maybe one overnight stay. I'm considering buying the Osprey hikelite 32 litres, but reading that most people still recommend at least 35 litres for a weekend trip. Anyone able to make do with just 32L or is it really better to size up?

Doing an 80-day camping trip across Europe – Looking for gear and camping tips!
Hey everyone!
This summer I'll be hiking the Via Francigena, a pilgrimage route that goes all the way from Canterbury (UK) to Rome (Italy) – around 2,000 km (1,200 mi) and I plan to camp as much as possible along the way.
I’ve done some long walks before (Camino de Santiago, crossed Taiwan on foot, etc.), but this is by far my longest and most challenging route. I’ll be on the road for around 80 days, walking through the UK, France, Switzerland, and Italy, mostly solo and with limited budget.
I’d love some advice from this amazing community on:
Camping gear: I’m looking for a solid yet lightweight tent, sleeping pad and sleeping bag that can handle different conditions (mountains, summer heat, possible rainstorms). Any recommendations?
Cooking setup: Should I bring a stove or rely on cold meals? Any ultra-light setups?
Wild camping advice: Especially in France, Switzerland and Italy. Is it tolerated? Any do’s and don’ts?
Anything else I should consider for a trip like this?
My goal is to keep it lightweight, budget-friendly, and safe.

Help with Salomon shoes
Hi ! So I bought some salomons ultra 360 edge to take travelling with me because I plan on hiking but wanted soemthibg that would go with casual outfits too and my brown hiking boots weren't that. Well much to my surprise they're comfy AND they don't rub on the back of my ankle which is a frequent problem for me as I'm a fast walker, nor do they give me toe blisters however after a while they do put pressure on the sticky out knuckle (is that the word?) part of my feet and I'm wondering if I somehow removed the lace part here would that relieve the pressure ? I've seen some people suggest lacing in various ways to help a variety of problems but unsure if missing the loop just there would even help? Also if anyone here has salomons am I even able to relace them? Or should I bite the bullet and just cut that bit

Robens Iceshield 75 195 vs Thermarest Trail Lite Long
As far as I can tell, the Robens is beating the Thermarest in every imagineable way. Weight, thickness, packweight, pack-size, R-Value etc. Its 1 cm shorter and thinner in width, Sure, I'll give the Thermarest that one, but that's the only thing I can put my thumb on. And being 192 cm tall, and a sidesleeper with my knee out, that certainly could be an issue. Sure.
**But** Its
Nearly double as thick, **7.5** vs 3.8 cm
100grams lighter. **0.95** vs 1.05 kg
Significantly higher R-Value of **4.2** vs 3.4
Packs smaller **31 x 16 cm** vs 33 x 21 cm
And its **CHEAPER.**
**Can someone please tell me what I'm missing here?** Thermarest is huge, known and trusted brand, is that the only reason? They charge a premium for their brand?
There are of course things not mentioned in the specsheet, durability, comfort, valve-compatibility/performance, noise etc. Anyone who has tried both or just the Robens can elaborate or give some feedback? There's barely any reviews out there about it.
