There is something truly timeless about Dolly Parton and the raw, vulnerable storytelling in her
music. "JOLENE" was released back in 1973 - inspired by a friendly bank teller
who flirted with Dolly's husband, mixed with the name of a sweet little fan she met at a show. Instead of an angry anthem, Dolly turned her heartbreak
and insecurity into pure country magic.
This has always been one of my absolute favorite songs to sing and play on the guitar.
