Republic Act No. 12321, also known as the Last Mile and GIDA Schools Act, was signed into law by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 22, 2026. It institutionalizes a nationwide program to deliver sustained government support, proper infrastructure, and comprehensive personnel packages to public basic education schools in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) and other underserved communities.
