Most people struggle because they are chasing two things that do not actually exist the way they think they do. Control and comfort.
We want life to be predictable and safe. We want certainty in an uncertain world. We convince ourselves that if we can just control enough situations, people, or outcomes we will finally feel at peace. But control is an illusion. We cannot even fully control our own thoughts or emotions at times. Life will move. People will change. Events will happen. That part is not up to us.
What is up to us is influence.
You may not control what shows up in your mind but you can influence what you focus on. You may not control your emotions but you can influence how you respond to them. Thoughts shape emotions. Emotions drive actions. Actions create results. Change does not come from force or control. It comes from influence practiced consistently.
Comfort is the other illusion. We believe we should feel comfortable to grow. The truth is growth happens in discomfort. In challenge. In uncertainty. Every meaningful expansion in your life required you to stretch beyond what felt safe. Comfort maintains who you have been. Discomfort creates who you are becoming.
When you chase control and comfort you stay stuck in lack, frustration, and repeated cycles. When you embrace influence and challenge you reclaim your power.
Start today by influencing one thought. One response. One action. Step into what feels uncomfortable on purpose. That is where growth lives. That is how you begin to live up to your true potential.

Today Is Your Day! Don't be dismayed by good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.
