The Lunar New Year celebration spans 15 days, starting from the first day and ending on the 15th. Each day holds its own unique significance and traditions, but I don’t observe all of them since many are tied to rituals. I focus on the meaningful activities that resonate with me, such as:
1. On New Year’s Eve, we gather for a reunion dinner, which we often refer to as a "big feast" because of the abundance of delicious food.
2. We distribute red packets to our family members, relatives, and friends as a gesture of blessing and goodwill.
3. We visit friends and relatives, bringing along hampers as festive gifts to share the joy of the season.
One tradition I always follow is wearing new clothes on the first day of the New Year to symbolize a fresh start. I’ve already picked out my outfit and can’t wait to wear it when the day arrives! 😂
