Recently, there’s been quite a stir in the community regarding

@septamber

. I just want to share my opinion not to take sides with

@septamber

nor with the other parties involved.

I felt the need to express this because I have often seen her previous posts on my feed, particularly her appeals for financial help related to her claimed brain tumor and medical expenses.

While I may not know the full root of the issue, I do know that

@septamber

has been consistently posting about her condition, particularly the brain tumor she claims she has. She has even been asking for monetary help to cover her hospital bills and upcoming operations.

Why am I interested in her case? Not just because of the negative issues circulating now, but because I personally know the pain of losing someone to a brain tumor. I lost my brother to Thalamic glioma in 2013. From the day he was admitted to the hospital, he only lived for four more months. I witnessed the pain he endured. I held his hand during his seizures, I heard him plead for his life because he didn’t want to die yet. I was the closest to him among our siblings, which made it all the more painful for me.

As for

@septamber

’s case, based on the MRI reports (assuming they truly belong to her), it seems her diagnosis points more toward a Rathke cleft cyst rather than a macroadenoma correct me if I’m wrong. If she has a Rathke cleft cyst, thankfully, it’s not a tumor; but if she has macroadenoma, then yes, she does have a tumor. The good thing, according to research, is that both conditions are generally curable, though this depends on the specific case or tumor grade.

Assuming the medical reports are genuine, I do feel sympathy for

@septamber

. I can imagine how much harder it must be to face such an illness when you are the patient yourself. In my case, it was my brother and it was already painful and stressful for us as his family. I often got teased by friends saying, “Your brother’s sickness is an illness for the rich” without them even thinking how hurtful those words were. How much more painful must it be for

@septamber

, being the one who’s sick?

Honestly, I even asked for monetary help from our APPICS group chat last year to support

@septamber

’s treatment. I hold no anger toward her because of what’s happened, but that doesn’t mean I dismiss the feelings of those who now feel cheated or scammed. Maybe she didn’t do it intentionally or maybe she did but one thing is certain, nobody likes being used or deceived.

To all those affected by this issue, I extend my sincerest apologies as a fellow Filipino. I hope this serves as a valuable reminder that we must take great care in placing our trust in others not only in financial matters but in all aspects of life.
