vivo V50 Elite Edition is coming, here's the official launch date

vivo is getting ready to unveil a third member of its V50 family in India, which will arrive to complement the V50 and V50e. This will be the V50 Elite Edition, and the brand has now started teasing it.
The official announcement is scheduled for May 15. While the teaser is devoid of any specs, we can see a circular camera island in the video below with "co-engineered with Zeiss" branding, so clearly the cameras will be a big part of this phone's USP.
In fact, the X post itself mentions "portraits that captivate" along with "sound that surrounds", so perhaps there will be some improvements in those areas compared to the V50 which was introduced in February.
For reference, note that the V50 comes with a 6.77-inch 1080x2392 AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and 4,500-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC at the helm, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256/512GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide with autofocus for macro shots, a 50 MP selfie snapper with autofocus, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging.

vivo S30 and S30 Pro mini specs leak

According to a new leak out of China, vivo is working on the S30, which will be powered by Qualcomm's still-unannounced Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. That's one generation newer than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in its predecessor.
The phone will allegedly have a 6.67-inch "1.5K" resolution flat screen, a periscope telephoto camera using Sony's IMX882 sensor, and a 6,500 mAh battery.
It will be joined by the S30 Pro mini, with a 6.31-inch "1.5K" flat screen (in fact rumored to be exactly the same LTPO OLED panel used in the X200 Pro mini), and this one will be powered by either the Dimensity 9300+ or the Dimensity 9400e that's popping up quite a lot in rumors lately. The smaller device will apparently have a metal frame, and the same periscope telephoto camera and battery capacity as its larger sibling.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is expected to be made using TSMC's N4 process, and it will have a 1+3+4 CPU core design for a "low-power mid-range chip", machine translation from Chinese says.

vivo picks the V30 series as its star for the UEFA Euro 2024 final
The UEFA Euro 2024 final last night attracted some 24 million TV viewers and was watched by around 65,000 at the Olympiastadion. This was the end of a journey that started a month prior on June 14 and the vivo V30 series (as the official smartphone partner of the championship) attended both the opening and closing ceremonies.
vivo and its phones participated in the championship in ways you may or may not have noticed. It was front and center with the Player of the Match Awards. Nico Williams snagged the award for the final, Lamine Yamal and Ollie Watkins were awarded after the semi-finals.
vivo also partnered with Goal.com to create the “Passion Beyond the Match” documentary, which captured fans from all 24 participating countries during the games, as well as recorded in-depth interviews with them. The documentary features fan portraits captured with the vivo X100 series.
The X100 phones had another duty – using the Audio-Descriptive Commentary service provided by the UEFA Euro Official app, visually impaired individuals around the world could experience the 51 matches in real time.
Euro 2024 was particularly special for one young fan – 12-year-old Lai Xun Xiang from a village in Guizhou, China attended the games thanks to vivo. Lai Xun Xiang commented: “I'm going to tell the whole world that I was born in a place where everyone is a footballaholic. With the blessings of everyone in my village packed in my heart, I will travel further and our shared passion will bring us closer to each other.”
vivo promoted inclusivity, diversity and sportsmanship during Euro 2024 and will continue to bring what it calls “The Joy of Humanity” to its global users.
