When was the last time you challenged your own truth?

I was talking with a younger gentleman at the gym today about truth and perception. I told him something I have come to understand more as I have gotten older. We all have our own version of truth because we are looking at life through different eyes.

None of us experiences the world exactly the same. Everything we see passes through the filter of our experiences, fears, conditioning, successes, failures, beliefs, and everything we have been taught along the way. When something passes through that filter enough times, it can become a belief. And once it becomes a belief, we often stop questioning whether it is actually true.

That is where we can limit ourselves without even realizing it.

I believe we should challenge our beliefs occasionally, especially the ones influencing how we see ourselves, other people, and what we believe is possible for our lives. This does not mean abandoning everything we believe. It means becoming aware enough to question why we believe it.

There are really two possible outcomes. You question a belief and discover that it still holds true, which strengthens your understanding. Or you discover that what you believed was truth was actually your perception of truth.

That second possibility requires us to set the ego aside because being wrong does not make us less intelligent. Sometimes discovering we were wrong is exactly how we grow.

Awareness gives us the ability to recognize the lens we have been looking through. Accountability allows us to question it. Responsibility gives us the power to choose differently.

Growth begins when we become more interested in discovering truth than defending what we already believe.

Why did you stop?

Feeling stuck isn’t a sign that you’re failing—it’s a signal that you’re being invited to grow. But here’s the truth most people miss: you don’t have to feel ready or inspired to move forward. You just have to move. That sense of being blocked or overwhelmed? It’s not a dead end—it’s the beginning of your path. The obstacle isn’t in the way. It is the way.

This is how influence works. You don’t control how big the challenge feels. You don’t control the fear or the fog. But you can influence what happens next. How? By picking the smallest, most doable action—and doing it. Not next week. Not after you “feel better.” Right now.

Stop waiting for motivation to knock. That’s passive living. The people who get unstuck are the ones who act in motion, not emotion. They break down what feels massive into what is manageable. They don’t look at the mountain—they focus on the next foothold.

Progress is energy. Energy builds from motion. And motion doesn’t require perfection—it requires willingness. Willingness to try. Willingness to be uncomfortable. Willingness to show up when it’s hard. That’s where your power lives.

One step. Then another. And eventually, you’re not stuck anymore. You’re moving. You’re learning. You’re gaining ground. Not because the resistance disappeared—but because you decided to stop letting it define you.

Who or what has your back?

Life is like a river—constantly moving, constantly changing. You can never step in the same river twice, because the river has changed, and so have you. Every moment shapes us. Every experience adds to who we are. And the more we try to hold on or control the flow, the more we struggle. Control is an illusion—but influence is always possible.

In all that change, there’s one steady truth: if you’re willing enough, the Universe will be right there. Not at the finish line. Not once you “have it all figured out.” But in the middle of it. In the quiet. In the chaos. In the shift.

This is the heart of my philosophy: Life isn’t about control, it’s about presence. We aren’t here to repeat the past or predict the future. We’re here to feel, to experience, to influence by the energy we show up with. When we lose sight of that—when we chase outcomes or attach conditions to our joy—we burn out, feel lost, or stuck. But the truth is, we can always return.

Return to the beginning. To the reason we started. To that consistent love. And when we do, we remember: the Universe never left. We just stopped noticing.

So step back into the river—not to recreate the past, but to meet life as it is now. Because every version of you deserves to feel that presence. And the Universe is always ready, when you are willing.

If this reached you or there was something that truly resonated with you, please like and share in hopes this will maybe reach someone that it could help.
