An enjoyable spot to be at, in Hualien
While in Hualien, there are beautiful beaches and mountainous areas that are worthy of visiting frequently, I am fond of strolling alongside endless rice paddies. So doing, I can closely observe of how rice grows at different stages, and that's a great treat to me.
The bonus is that there are lotus ponds bordering the paddies, where I can also enjoy viewing, at close distance, the blooming lotus flowers, from early May to late September.
Currently, both golden ears with ripening rice grains, swaying like mild waves, as well as blooming lotus flowers can be appreciated in great depth.

魚與熊掌可以兼得，我在花蓮的私房景點，遠離市區的喧囂，寬敞一望無際的稻田， 目前正是呈現著黃金稻浪，而一旁的荷花爭相綻放。可以說是美上加美，還有機會搶拍遠方疾駛而過的火車，完美的景緻。 置身其間，“心曠神怡” 只是含蓄的說詞而已。

Do rice plants grow flowers? The answe is yes, bus few people experience seeing them.
For the reasons that they are relatively small, less than 1cm long, and white in colour, and also bloom for only about 2 days, twice a year in Taiwan
Need to point out, flowers of rice plant are called “spikelets”, while “rice flower” refers to another species of plant.
Though inconspicuous they may be, their fruit, rice grains, do play an important role as the main staple food in Asia.
昨晨發現天氣柔和，沒有吹風，陽光柔和，因此特地開車前往我熟悉的佳林村去探查一下，稻花開了沒有。結果是緣分十足，剛巧碰上最好的花況。
特別分享幾張清晰的稻花照片，讓大家放大來欣賞，也可以體驗一個事實，雖然它們扮演的是我們主要的糧食的角色，它們的花卻是極度嬌小含蓄。蘊含的是一個巧妙的啟示，重要的身份其實以含蓄的方式去流露，會更得體。

A Dream Forever Sweet
Wealth and fame certainly are not
with us to stay.
Whereas pursuing aesthetic
experiences turns hair all white.
