After 2 years as a solo founder, I finally launched my Web3 game.
Two years ago, I had an idea: build a play-to-earn game that didn't require players to understand wallets, gas fees, or blockchain jargon just to have fun.
As a solo founder, I designed, built, tested, and kept improving the project through plenty of setbacks. There were many moments where I questioned whether I'd ever get it across the finish line, but I kept going.
Today, the game is live. We're currently in Season 2 Beta v2.0, and seeing new players join every day has been incredibly rewarding.
One thing I'm especially proud of is that the project isn't just relying on token speculation. I spent a lot of time creating a revenue model with actual in-game monetization, so the game has ways to generate income beyond simply issuing a token. That was a major goal from the beginning.
There is still a lot of work ahead—expanding the game, growing the community, and eventually taking it multichain—but reaching the point where real people are playing something I built from scratch feels surreal.
If you're building something on your own, keep going. Progress often feels painfully slow until one day you realize you've actually launched.
I'd love to hear from other solo founders. What has been the biggest challenge you've faced while building your project?
